In 2007, one of the UK's leading online watch retailers was established in Darlington, County Durham. In early 2007, the successful entrepreneur Daniel Richmond was made redundant from a Graphic Design position and chose to follow his passion and created Tic Trading - a step in his life he will never regret. From selling watches from his own bedroom, to now aiming for a £2 Million turnover per year.
Stocking watches from renowned brands such as Emporio Armani, Swatch, Olivia Burton and many others, the company successfully completed the first year of trading with an outstanding £83,000 turnover. The following five years saw the organisation grow continuously, whilst increasing their stock, working with brands such as Michael Kors, Hugo Boss, Seiko, Tissot just to name a few.
In 2011, Tic Trading reached a £1 Million turnover and became one of the largest online watch retailers out there.
As the company continued to grow, so did the brand - from the bedroom, came the offices and now Tic Watches have a high street store and are internationally recognised. In this time, Tic Watches became the first official UK Stockists of the exquisite fashion brands that are, Rosefield, Mockberg and Cluse. The brand recognition is becoming even larger, with a social following of around 20,000 people.
Tic Watches now in its 12th Year Trading as now grown into a powerhouse in the watch industry and is turning over £5-6m per year. The company continues to grow and attract more brands as Tic watches gears up to enter the Swiss market with high end Swiss watches.
However, this isn't all as the successful businessman is looking to launch, as he's aiming to produce his own watch brand in the upcoming years, so keep a close eye for more information.
